Description
The Trebur Open Air is one of the most important non-commercial festivals in Hessen and has been organised by the municipality of Trebur in cooperation with the Kulturverein Trebur e.V. since 1993. The concept of mixing well-known headliners, up-and-coming newcomers and local bands works: Around 7,000 visitors flock to the South Hessian community over the festival weekend to get up close and personal with the bands. Almost 200 volunteers ensure that the festival at the Trebur outdoor pool runs smoothly year after year.
The selection of musicians at the Trebur Open Air is just as colourful as its surroundings: not only big names are on the posters, but also unknown and local acts. On the one hand, 20 albums have already been released, on the other, the first demo tape is currently being recorded. While the world still doesn’t know anything about it, the next newcomer becomes a big starter at #toa. You can bop from the wheelbarrow of death to the mosh pit with some, or chill out on the grass with others and dream a little. The transitions between the genres are fluid – you won’t find any categorisation here.
